Rick Herdman is an artist living and working in Burnaby, British Columbia. Rick studied at Capilanio College, Emily Carr College of Art and Design and University of British Columbia. In the process received a Diploma in Studio Art, Bachelors of Fine Arts and a Bachelors of Education.
Through the years he has worked as a teacher, a lecturer, an artist for the film industry, as a graphic designer and has run a home renovation business.Patterns appear in nature and in our interactions, these reverberate and affect one another.
Traditional printmaking and nature’s recursions counter our culture of mass produced digitally created products. The act of printmaking is a metaphor, which parallels how nature replicates.
